The B.U.D was previewed during the June Oceanic dealer seminar at the Oceanic headquarters in San Leandro, CA. The attending dealers had the chance to get hands on and provide some feedback on the new B.U.D.  Many of the attendees of the seminar also left with a B.U.D to participate in the official field evaluation. Check out the video below featuring Allen Aboujeib of Blue Water Divers as he gets his hands on one for the first time and gives a quick demonstration of the devices capabilities.

The B.U.D was also recently taken out by ScubaGearReports.com(SGR) on fourth of July weekend and put to the test during their Demo Day program. The SGR staff were accompanied by about 40 other divers where they tested out the new BUD on multiple dives all day. SGR reported that “almost every diver who went down with a BUD clipped to a D-ring surfaced saying the DC was easy to read and easy to use. Some used the BUD to compare the NDL calculations of their own dive computers, and many commented on the automatic Safety Stop feature.”.
